Access

Introduction

We want you to feel confident that you’ll have a great experience with us.

Because we’re working with several different host venues, there’s quite a lot of access info to cover. Rather than attempt to collate and list all of the information that might be important to you right here, we just give an overview of the physical aspects of the buildings that you’ll need to navigate.  And we invite you to get in touch so we can help tailor our welcome to your needs.

Everyone is different, and generic information - or provision - might not be helpful. So if you’ve any questions whilst you’re planning your visit - about the environment, facilities, transport, programme, local access or anything else - just get in touch. If we don't know, we'll find out.

Who to contact

access@manchesterfolkfestival.org.uk

Please note that we are a very small team, and during the Festival we are very stretched, so the sooner you raise any issues with us, the better able we will be to respond in good time.

Booking tickets

Ticket bookings for all of the venues are being handled by HOME. The staff there are always friendly and helpful, but be aware that they might not have all the information at their fingertips, as this is not their normal programme! If you run into any difficulties, either contact us on the email address above or ask the Box Office staff to contact the Manchester Folk Festival team for you. If you'd like a phone call rather than a written response, leave your phone number and we'll get back to you. The Box Office telephone number is 0161 200 1500.

If you want to book wheelchair spaces (and any seats alongside that you require), it’s best to phone or book in person with HOME.

Book in person: The Box Office is in the foyer on the ground floor. It is immediately opposite the entrance, and is fully accessible. Open Monday - Sunday 12:00 - 20:00.

Book by phone: 0161 200 1500

Book online: Click “book” from the artist or concert page on the Manchester Folk Festival website. This will open the relevant booking page on HOME’s website. There is a 15 minute timer to complete the transaction, so get your card ready!

Personal Assistant Tickets

Personal Assistant Tickets are available when booking tickets online, by phone and in person. There is currently a limit to the number of PA tickets for each performance, if this limit is reached, please contact us on access@manchesterfolkfestival.org.uk or ask Box Office staff to contact the Manchester Folk Festival team for you, and we will look at whether we can extend this.

If you need a PA ticket but do not have a CEA card, alternative proof could be provided.

Suitable proof includes:

        -  DLA/PIP letter

        -  Registered Access card

        -  Assistance Dog ID card

        -  Evidence of registered severely sight impaired

If evidence is not available, please get in touch with
access@manchesterfolkfestival.org.uk
