Age recommendations

The recommended lower age for gigs is generally to do with the venue's own policy.

E.g. Gigs at The Ritz and Gorilla are 14+, whilst most gigs at HOME are 9+

If an event is specifically aimed at younger children or families it will say so.

If you can't find the age recommendation on our website, you'll find it in the Event Information box on the right hand side of every individual event page on HOME's website (when you click 'Book' from our site)

Craft workshops are all recommended age 16+ We set this limit for safety and insurance reasons. Many workshops involve tools and processes which are unsuitable for younger participants.

Please note that workshop leaders, the host venue and Manchester Folk Festival will not take responsibility for any children, and have the right to turn away anyone under the recommended age, even if they have a ticket.

Depending on the nature of the workshop, it may occasionally be possible for children aged 12+ to attend, if accompanied by a responsible adult, who must also have a ticket.  However, this must be agreed with the Festival before buying. If you wish to attend the workshop along with someone aged 12-15, for whom you will take full responsibility, please click here to contact us before you buy

BBC RADIO 2 FOLK AWARDS TICKETS

Tickets for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2019 are sold via The Bridgewater Hall, so there are different booking fees and please note their terms and conditions.
